The first international expert meeting on HIV/AIDS and the police was convened in den Haag, Netherlands, September 3-4, 2007 by UNAIDS, UNODC and The Netherlands Institute of International Relations ‘Clingendael’

  • Involving more than forty participants from across the world, including police officers, academics, practitioners, and representatives from UN agencies, participants met under the framework of the The AIDS Security and Conflict Initiative to discuss and define a global research strategy and policy-process for this important, and neglected, constituency.
